development.Your OpportunityDrives electric powered industrial
truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull,
lift, stack, tier, or remove products, equipment, or materials.
Prepare records of shipments and bills of lading for outbound
trucks. Prepares records of receipt of incoming material,
chemicals, and equipment and update database. Responsible for
accuracy of shipping documents and computer data and verifying
receiving receipts with open POs.Core ResponsibilitiesProduction
employees at Smithfield handle materials and use hand tools,
knives, machinery, and equipment to help deliver good food
responsibly to Americas dinner table. Production team members at
Smithfield perform physically demanding work that requires good
hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, strength and stamina.
Team members must be available to work scheduled hours, which may
include mandatory overtime, depending upon production
demands.Inspection of trailers prior to loading to confirm sanitary
conditions and proper refrigeration equipment operation.Take
temperature readings and read fuel settings on refrigerated
trailers.Prepare the following documents: Complete a QA Departments
Trailer Loading Inspection forms for each outbound load. Fill out a
load map which details pallet identifications, product
identifications, quantities and production or sell-by date data.
Review bills of lading for completeness and accuracy.Ability to
perform basic data entry in Excel, Access or other PC software as
required and then utilize PC-based tools to verify accuracy of load
information.Insure that all documents bear required signatures and
salient information.Correctly prepare and assemble the following
document sets for each load: a) Shipper, b) Shippers accounting
dept., c) consignee, and d) carrier.Review notification e-mails for
accuracy and then send e-mail notifications of shipment readiness
and contents to customers and carriers.Forklifts: Pre-operational
inspection, operation. Pallet jacks: operation of manual and
electric.Stocking and pulling product from warehouse racking. Pick
and pack outgoing shipments.Ability to quickly locate merchandise
for distribution or placement within the warehouse.Verify incoming
shipment quantities, product number, etc.Understand all shipping
terms used in domestic shipping transactionsAbility to break apart
the day to cover several tasksSufficient strength and stamina to
spend a lot of time on their feet and lift packages from below
waist height to above shoulder height.Maintain a clean and
organized work environment.Follow our color code system in regard
to food safety.Other duties as directed by Supervisor.The above
